“Behold, I will send My messenger, who will prepare the way before Me. Then the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to His temple—the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight—see, He is coming,” says the LORD of Hosts.

O Lord of Hosts,
Behold, You have spoken, and your word is sure:
We open our hearts to receive your divine visitation.
Let us not be found sleeping when you come suddenly to your temple.
Awaken in us a holy expectation, a reverent longing for your presence.
Help us prepare so that our lives may be sanctuaries fit for your glory.
Refine us like gold, purify us like silver,
So that when you come, we may stand in awe, not in fear.
We seek you, Lord, not just in the quiet of the temple,
But in the noise of our days, the ache of our waiting,
The hope of your promise fulfilled.
Come, Lord Jesus.
Come swiftly, come surely.
Make Your dwelling among us.
Amen.
