Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities:
for we know not what we should pray for as we ought:
but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us
with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Here’s Your Prayer for Today
Our Dear Father in Heaven,
We are most grateful for life today and the breath of life which you so freely grant unto us daily. We are also grateful for the gift of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us and helps us to pray. Left to us alone, praying would be a big burden, but because you know our frail nature, you have given us your Holy Spirit to help us.
So today, sweet Holy Spirit, we come before you with all our weaknesses, help us pray as we have to. Direct us Lord, and lead us to pray. Intercede on our behalf; you are our only helper who understands exactly what we need.
Help us put away any negativity and focus on you until we are liberated from whatever holds us back from succeeding. Once again, you are our helper, and we have no other but you. We thank you for always helping us when we call on you.
