Keep your eyes on Him
Revelation 4: 2-6
2 At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. 3 And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne. 4 Surrounding the throne were twenty-four other thrones, and seated on them were twenty-four elders. They were dressed in white and had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. In front of the throne, seven lamps were blazing. These are the seven spirits[a] of God. 6 Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal.
Today, we would love to share this wonderful scripture that jumped out while reading it. It gave a very simple message.
If the God we have been shouting up our prayers to is too wonderful in appearance, then what again is our problem?
You know that feeling that one gets when they see something they’re proud of, let’s say a car? That feeling is like being on top of the world. How much more a spiritual being whose mere appearance and description screams POWER! DOMINANCE! FEAR! MIGHTHINESS! BEAUTY! GLORY! Etc. What at all are we frustrated about again?
We only have to fix our eyes on Him. That alone is enough to give you strength and assurance in who He is and what He is able to do.
Don’t take your eyes off Him!
Here’s your Prayer for Today
Our Heavenly Father
Who is in heaven, You are full of splendour, grandeur and might. To you who sit on the throne be all praise and glory. There is none who comes close to being like you. Because of who you are, your mere appearance gives a great rest in our souls and mind. We fear not the future because you are in it. You have us in your palm and are secure. We are awe-struck and honoured to know who you are. Thank you, Amen.
